Who's behind Money Methods

Hi, I'm Isaac.

Most people I meet aren't short on financial advice. They're tired of being sold to before anyone has shown them the actual numbers.

I'm a Wealth Solutions Consultant with HSBC Life in Singapore. I started Money Methods because the biggest money decisions here — a second property, retirement, what to do with CPF and SRS — too often get made on gut feel and sales pressure, instead of on what the numbers actually say.

So I flipped the usual order around. Everything here is built to be useful before we ever speak: free calculators with every assumption shown, breakdowns with real sources cited, plain language instead of jargon. If the tools help and you want to talk through your own situation, I'm one message away — and it comes straight to me, not a call centre.

Why this practice exists

I came to financial consulting from nine years in pharmaceutical sciences — pharmacy practice first, then pharma sales for a multinational. In both, I worked with people making high-stakes decisions about their health. They asked about the data. They wanted the trial. They weighed the side effects. Then I'd watch the same people make money decisions on a hunch, a tip, or a friend's brochure.

Money Methods exists to bring that same evidence-based discipline to financial planning — for Singaporeans who want to make decisions with their eyes open, not their hopes up.

My commitment

Clarity over confusion — through every life change and market shift.

Licensed & regulated

A licensed financial representative in Singapore — regulated, trained, and held to proper standards. Advice isn't guesswork; it must be suitable and properly explained.

You'll understand the why

Costs, risks, trade-offs and alternatives behind every recommendation. If it can't be explained simply, it's not good enough.

No hard selling, no rushing

If something doesn't fit you, I'll say so. If you need time to think, you'll get it — good decisions should feel calm, not forced.

Built for the real world

Plans aren't built in a perfect world. Decisions that still make sense through life changes and market noise — practical, Singapore-relevant thinking, not hype.

Credentials & accountability — in plain sight

Independent voice

This site is my own — the views here are mine, not HSBC Life's official communication, and the contents haven't been reviewed by MAS. That independence is exactly why I can show you the math first.

Straight about incentives

If we work together and a financial product genuinely fits, that's how I earn. You'll always see the trade-offs and the math before any decision — and the free tools stay free either way.

If we end up talking

What working together looks like.

01

You run the numbers

Start with the free tools — your retirement picture, the property math. No login, no obligation.

02

We talk it through

One conversation about where you are and what you want. No pitch — just your situation, mapped.

03

You see the full math

If something fits, I show you how it works — trade-offs, risks and costs included, in writing.

04

You decide, in your own time

No deadlines, no pressure. The plan only goes ahead when you're sure it serves you.

Start where it's useful

The tools are yours. The conversation is optional.

Sixty seconds with a calculator will tell you more than any sales deck — and if you want to go deeper, I read every message personally.
